The color of the character fonts of the script on the web page must suit the design. For example, if you have chosen the mid section background dark, the font color of the characters, to be legible, must be in light colors like white or yellow. Similarly select the font type and proceed.

7. The section to add an image:

You can add only one image on the web page you have designed by using the web page design wizard. The width of the image to be added must be 125 pixels. Images that are larger or smaller are brought to that width automatically and of course the height also changes at the same ratio. If you face problems while trying to change the image, you can delete it and add again.

When the add image button is clicked on, a small window will appear. When the browse button on that window is clicked on, you can access the folders on your computer from which you can select an image, click on the open and then the add buttons respectively.

If you are using "Firefox" or "Netscape" as a browser, it might not be possible to display the images and hence add to the web page. In order to make the necessary setting change in these browsers, in the address field of the browser write about:config and hit the enter key. From the list that comes up on the screen find the "security.checkloaduri" option and by double clicking on it, from the screen that appears, change the setting from true to false. The option setting after the change must be as shown below:

In this way, there will form an index.htm file and a folder named index_files, inside the folder you have saved your web page at. The images you have used at your web page will have been saved inside the index_files folder. In order to publish your web page, you have to upload, using FTP, the index.htm file and the index_files folder, where the images used in the file are kept, to your personal account, formatted as user_name@ metu.edu.tr, registered at the central servers.
