METU-CA Certificate Authority is established to create and manage digital certificates. There are two kind of certificates, which one is used as personal digital certificates to sign and encrypt e-mail and the other one is used as server certificates to be used in web, pop, imap and etc. services on a server.

If you want to take a reliable service which is protected with SSL, from Computer Center, you must have root certificate of METU-CA. You can download root certificate of METU-CA form the following links.

• The root certificate of METU-CA which can be installed browsers for services and signing and encryption of e-mail. (in crt format)
  This certificate can be installed to Mozilla, Netscape, Internet Explorer, and the other browsers.
• The root certificate of METU-CA which can be installed servers for services. (in pem format)
  This certificate can be used in the configuration files of web, pop, imap, and etc. services.
• The root certificate of METU-CA which can be installed servers for services. (in der format)
  This certificate can be used in the configuration files, which are needed binary format root certificate file.
